Overall Purpose:

Quality Improvement in healthcare doesn’t happen by chance.  Improvement only occur through carefully planned and organized efforts such as Project Management. This activity presents an overview of Project Management skills applicable to quality improvement in healthcare.

Nurses with detailed knowledge of project management skills will be able to contribute to healthcare quality improvement at their workplace.  This knowledge can also be utilized during the nurse’s career development while pursuing certification in healthcare quality (CPHQ).

Continuing Education: 

Nursing contact hours have been applied for through the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center ’s Commission on Accreditation.

This course takes an average of 1 hour to complete and offers 1 contact hour for successful completion.
